Posts: 359 (02/01/09 03:19 AM) Lord of Fetish and Horror Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None has anyone seen this? i believe it's loosely based on a series of books, not sure. just watched an episode last night, i think there are pleanty of people here that might enjoy it. really cool look to it, fetishy leather costumes, magic, damsels and dudes in distress, sword play (women sword playing too) all sorts of fun elements to it. Legend of the Seeker, if you follow the hyperlink it will take you to IMDB where i believe all episodes are available for viewing. Seeker home page already got me some ideas for "future" projects. is it overwhelming great? nah, but it's a fun one. im sure many will make referance to that other fantasy movie with all those elves but oh well. i like it. Unfortunately, it comes on at an awkward time in Tulsa. The actor who portrays the title role is the series's weakest link: he looks, IMO, like he has little heart for the job. The female companion with a few magic tricks is far stronger. And she does swing swords. It's all fun, Dick

I agree with ya Raharnett. The boy-toy is definitley the dregs of the series. The wizard, nasty teeth from Mad Maxc movie, is my favorite character. Some pretty nice costumes but kinda creepy looking at times too-- Gag ball anyone? " I won't be lied to and I won't be laid a hand upon"

I agree the actting is sub-par(Darken Rahl who's the main bad guy is played by the same actor who played Haldir in the LOTR movies. Plus he reminds for some reason of Rex) and the actor who plays Richard(the Seeker) really isn't there all the time. But IMO, it's nice to have a new, fantasy related TV show that isn't another LOST or CSI/crime solving drama. I've been thinking about doing a wizard based on Zed and after last nights ep. I'm tempted to do a confessior based on Kaylen. I believe the books are the "Sword of Truth" books, but I have no idea and wonder if that movie "The Seeker" has some sort of connection to this TV series. I hope that with the success of this show, which has been renewed for a second season, we will get more fantasy related TV shows and movies. Plus, and I hate to say this, it's nice to have something fantasy that has no elves. -It is a gift -I know, it's called a Prince Albret

I watched the (it says second ep. but sure looked like the first). Seems like a pretty good show so far. I wouldn't get to attached though. That said, it's based very loosely from the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. I read the series before I saw the TV version so I'm biased.

Comes on too late Sunday nights to be a weekly event for me though... From what I've seen It's not bad at all... The seeker can use some help (more from an acting coach than the Confessor is my opinion) - but overall a decent show... Speaking of the Confessor, Wow - very pretty woman!!! The outfits are great - I especially like the leather getup that the Mord-Sith wear Paul - yes that is the gyro-pilot from "The Road Warrior" I also just read that the show has been picked up for a second season... Cool... Daithi Grab life while you can!!
