Sideshow Collectibles Celebrates Movie's 25th Anniversary
With Conan the Collectible

Thousand Oaks, California (July, 2007) - World-renowned manufacturer of licensed and proprietary product Sideshow Collectibles has signed to create a new line of products based on the film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Arnold first starred as the fearsome warrior in 1982's Conan the Barbarian, and returned for the sequel Conan the Destroyer in 1984. Sideshow will be releasing Premium Format figures depicting Arnold as Conan the Barbarian, expected to retail for approximately $299.99.

Conan the Barbarian quickly gained the attention of fans, premiering as one of the top ten grossing films of 1982 worldwide. Leading lady Sandahl Bergman received the award for Best Actress both from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Films and from the Golden GlobeĀ® Awards. Following this success, Conan the Destroyer actress Grace Jones received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Films. The acclaimed fantasy films portraying the muscled warrior are considered Arnold Schwarzenegger's acting breakthrough. The Conan films remain fan favorites for their action, adventure and fantasy success.

Our design team is working now on the first Conan Premium Format figure, and they do seem to have ambitions for several Conan figures.

So there's hope.
